2010 is going to be one hell of a year for new, fast, sexy cars. Case in point: the new 2010 Audi R8 V-10. V-10 generaly means one thing, and it’s certainly true in this case: speed (and lots of it). The new Audi can reach speeds of 197 mph and can polish off 0-60 in a lighning quick 3.8 seconds. The engine on this bad boy uses a precision-engineered combination of variable valve timing on its 4 cams, direct fuel injection, and a 12:5:1 compression ratio to deliver 525HP @ 8000 rpm and 391 lb-ft of torque @ 6500 rpm. Combine that engine with a lightweight aluminum body and you have a textbook recipe for a very, very fast car.
So how much does the 2010 Audi R8 cost? Well, I think it’s safe to say that those who really need the answer to that question probably can’t afford one. The current 2009 model weighs in at $110,000, which has some experts predicting the 2010 will fall in the $150,000 to $180,000 price range. And it might even go higher than that. Yikes! In any event you can expect the 2010 model to sell out in the same fashion as its predecesor.
